Jǫtunnstaðr

Bold Outlanders, hear the horns sound throughout the mountains! On December 5th, join us at the Jǫtunnstaðr, or meet place of giants, for a day in the cold north of our beloved Kingdom Home! A day filled with fellowship and the striking beauty of Carter Lake awaits. Dress for cold weather! Site is wet, and a park entry permit is required for each vehicle; carpooling is encouraged!

There is no site fee for this event, however, a park entry permit of $9 is required for each vehicle.

12:30 Heavy/light 6ft spear Tournament 

14:00 Closing Court and elevation

Tournament to be a spear only "cross Pit", heavies and lights welcome. Top three places will be awarded regardless of style. Participation on rounds will vary by numbers.

Directions

From I-25: Take east state highway 56 westwards until it becomes west county road 8. Continue on west county road 8 until you take a gentle right onto north county road 23. Next, take a left onto west county road 8e following signs for Carter Lake. Be sure to stop at the park check in station for a parking permit! Permits are $9 per vehicle, so carpooling is highly encouraged. Follow signs for South Shore Campground. Turn right into the campground parking and look for the pavilion.
